Take a short shower

The average American shower is 8.2 minutes and uses 17.2 gallons (65 liters) of water. A shower that is 5 min or less can reduce the water usage can cut this almost in half. Adding a timer inside the shower lets you know how you’re doing, and turns it into a game to “beat the clock”.
